This landscape, using the same pseudocubic technique as most of my landscapes, depicts an aerial view of the corfu town and was inspired by a real photo. When i saw it,  i was fascinated immediately by the inner structure and geometrical shapes of the picture.

Moreover, i wanted to create a large image using these rectangles with different color and shades with a high emphasis on the rooftops, which is a distinctive feature of corfu town.

This is another pseudocybistic painting depicting an imagery aegean island and a red boat approaching (with the sign Hope). Initially I used this landscape as an excuse for a quite an abstract composition but as the painting was ordered by a friend of mine I added some details (like the ship for example) to make it more "representational".

This is one landscape completeley different from all the other ones. Its colors are limited almost completely to blue, white and black. Some paintings of Rothko perhaps provided the inspiration for the setting of the painting and especially the black tape at the middle.

This is a closer -dismantling look at some house on a small road in the Old Town of Corfu. The color range shifts towards yellow, green, grey and brown, which I think is a fair depiction of the real view.

Alexandras is a beautiful street with big trees on each side, at the center of Corfu Town. In this painting, I tried to apply the pseudocubic style to some urban landscapes from a closer view. I'm quite satisfied by the different and wider color range even though i'm not so sure about the painting as a whole.

This is one of the landscapes I made using a pseudocubic technic. I was inspired by the view of the village Ano Syros in the island Syros of Cyclades (Greece), which is highly geometrical. Of course, this is no exact representation of the view.

This painting is quite abstract (I was wondering whether I should put it here or with the others in the abstract -geometrical category). Judging by the fact that it is quite possible to distinguish basic elements of the landscape (such as the sea, the big church on the left, the small island at the right etc.) I put it here.

Actually, it is an abstract version of a smaller one (study) from the same view. You can see the second painting in the gallery below.

This is a small painting i made during an afternoon of the view outside my window. I have changed some small things (especially the position of the small island) but in general i just wanted to make a simple landscape using paddles and large surfaces of color.

This semi-abstracted painting was made under the influence of ideas against prisons (the panopticon model gave me the inspiration for the building) and especially the new high security prisons greek state is trying to create. The second title comes from the game of thrones book to express the snow depicted on the painting but also the era we live and how human rights are being demolished and people are living under constant threat of their privacy and freedom due to states and laws.

This painting is the result of two things: on the one hand an attempt to exploit a piece of plastic net (which had long been painted black) and a preference i had lately for large portraits. In essence (and not a very original thought i must admit) I thought the net should block something: eyes or mouth (eventually choosing the latter), so I had to create a person behind it (not something specific, without any sketching) that will should be black and white.

The painting is created by thin layers of paint on top of each other, except for some points (e.g. eyes) wherein there is a more "thick" layer of paint.
